Man Faces Life in Nursing Home Sexual Abuse Case

Posted on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 9:30 am

A man from Palo Alto, California is facing life in prison if he is convicted of sexually assaulting a 94-year-old resident of a nursing home facility. If you suspect that someone in your family is being the victim of nursing home abuse, the New Jersey eldercare attorneys of Levinson Axelrod may be able to help you fight for your dignity.

The incident occurred in 2002, when a 94-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her nursing home in Palo Alto. A man had confessed in 2002, but was exonerated by DNA evidence. Prosecutors say that they now have convincing DNA evidence that a 42-year-old man committed the crime, and an ex-girlfriend identified a necklace found at the scene as having belonged to the man. If convicted, he would spend life in prison.
