Champaign County nursing home under investigation

Posted on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 12:32 pm

An investigation is underway at a nursing home in Champaign County for the mistreatment of one of the nursing home residents. A local newspaper reports that a nursing home aide tried to move the resident and the resident suffered a cut that needed 24 stitches.

The nursing home aide was suppose to use the assistance of another person before moving a resident in order to avoid injury. Earlier in the year, the nursing home was fined almost $100,000 for health violations from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
