A nursing home abuse case at a Vermont nursing home has lead to the indictment of nine nurses. The case is a large 175-count indictment that revolves around the improper care of the residents and the falsifying of records to hide the improper care.
There were multiple negligent acts listed including the failure to turn over patients, which can lead to bed sores and ulcers. Other charges were failing to give medication to patients at the right time and failing to change wet garments in a timely manner.

A resident at a nursing home in Kentucky was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male resident at the nursing home and her family was not notified.
Now the facility’s administrator is facing charges from failing to report the incident. The incident occurred as a male resident allegedly trapped the woman in his room and the nursing staff later found the man’s penis was exposed.
Another incident occurred when the woman was sitting in the hallway and the man had ejaculated on her face. The victim is 88 years old and suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. The incident was never reported to the family and some information was not in the attorney general’s report.
Nursing home abuse is a serious issue that effects some of the most vulnerable people, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
